 आग लगी और बारिश भी नदारद रही यहाँ,

यूँ कहने को तो मेघो से यारी बहुत थी मेरी।

 

रेत का महल था और जलजला जोर का था,

अब ना शहर बचा और ना ही कोई निशां मिला।

 

किताबो में रखा था सम्हाल के निशानी उसकी,

अक्षर मिट गए और याद भी धूमिल सी हो गई।

 

और एक हवा अब भी दर्द देके जाती हैं रोज,

कि कभी वो यार का संदेश लाया करती थी।

 

अब कहाँ बसन्त भी साथ देता है मेरा कहीं,

वो बात अलग है कि नए पत्ते नही आते अब मुझमे।

 

और इबादतों का दौर बीत सा गया है इस दौर में,

कि अब कहाँ जल्दी आता है मौसम सावन का।
